Career History

Kamarul Azhan or fondly known as KA is currently the Director of Program Operation Division in Technology Depository Agency (TDA – a Government-Owned entity under MOF). He has thirty years of extensive experience in technical and management. He started his career as an engineer in the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for thirteen years (1989-2002). Worked as an avionic and radar engineer for the A4-Skyhawk fighter aircraft, Sikorsky S61A (Nuri), Pilatus PC-7 and Air Defence and Air Traffic Control Systems. He joined Sapura Group of Companies for another thirteen years (2002-2015) and led the operation and maintenance team in KLIA and Subang Air Traffic Management Systems, RMAF Full Mission Flight Simulator Systems (F/A-18 Hornet, BAE Hawk, MiG-29 and CN235) and Mission Critical Communication System (Government Integrated Radio Network - GIRN).

Kamarul had experience working in the corporate world when in Sapura as a General Manager which involved in high-level decision making and played an instrumental role in developing business strategies, especially related to defense and air traffic management systems for both military and civil aviation. He has actively involved in managing government contracts
